Non-Chinese source material from a saprolite deposit was mechanically separated from impurities through milling and flotation processes. The final concentrate was sieved to the following particle size specifications:

  • -100 (minus 100) mesh
  • ≥ 95.0% Carbon guaranteed (95.8% typical value)
  • ≤ 5.0% Ash (4.2% typical value)
  • ≤ 0.3% Moisture (0.2% typical value)

Twenty metric tons of feedstock will yield between six and ten metric tons of spherical graphite. About one kilogram of coated spherical purified graphite (CSPG) is required to produce one kilowatt-hour (kWh) of energy from a Li-Ion battery.
